The second wine is the 2015 Peake Ranch John Sebastiano Vineyard Syrah; our premier Syrah offering! In the cool Sta. Rita Hills, Syrah can struggle to ripen, but the low yields on the steep slopes of the John Sebastiano Vineyard lead to better chance of achieving ripe flavors and producing concentrated, complex wines.  This is our most limited offering yet, with only 3 barrels produced. This wine received a 92 Point Rating from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate and a 95 Point Rating from Jeb Dunnuck. Here’s what he wrote, “The first Syrah from this estate and bottled end of April, the 2015 Syrah John Sebastiano Vineyard saw 40% whole cluster and was aged in 66% new French oak. This sensational beauty offers tons of black raspberry, white chocolate, white pepper and licorice as well as full-bodied richness, a seamless texture, sweet tannin and an ethereal texture. Unfortunately, there’s just 73 cases.”
