Our Estate

Located on the eastern end of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA on Santa Rosa Road, Peake Ranch is a 105-acre parcel with 50 acres Pinot noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Grenache. The dynamic terrain requires the vines to be planted in a dizzying array of aspects and slopes to maximize the site’s character.  Much of the property lies amidst a protective saddle creating a slightly warmer profile at this estate, tempering the trademark Pacific Ocean winds that define the Sta. Rita Hills.

John Sebastiano Vineyard defies explanation.  Located almost five miles north of its sister property Peake Ranch in the Sta. Rita Hills, this site is extreme in every sense of the word.  The raised elevation of this vineyard exposes each vine planted on its 120 acres to an extra dose of the unique elements that make this appellation famous. We often say this is not one vineyard; it is ten. The complexity of this landscape and its raw exposure creates a complex puzzle we are obsessed with solving.  

Sierra Madre is located on the western side of the Santa Maria Valley. The Vineyard experiences cooler summers from its wide open valleys nearer to the ocean than our Sta. Rita Hills estates. The result is a later harvest.  The Chardonnay here uses every day of the growing season for ripening perfection.
